Victoria moves to COVIDSafe Summer from 11:59pm 6 December 2020.
The Victorian Government has announced that Victoria will move to new COVID-Safe Summer restrictions from 11.59pm on Sunday 6 December. These new restrictions will be in place until at least the end of January.
Some of the important changes for all Victorians include:
Household visits: you may have up to 30 people visit your home per day.
Outdoor gatherings: Up to 100 people can meet in a public outdoor place.
Religious gatherings and ceremonies: allowed both indoors and outdoors with a maximum density of 1 person per 2 square metres. No patron limit.
Weddings and funerals: allowed both indoors and outdoors with a maximum density of 1 person per 2 square metres. No patron limit.
Community facilities: libraries, toy libraries and community venues are open with a maximum density of 1 person per 2 square metres. No patron limit.

The Victorian Government has announced that there will be changes to restrictions in metropolitan Melbourne from 11:59pm on Sunday, 18 October.
The changes announced today will mean that Victorians will be able to safely see more of their friends and more Victorians can start going back to work.
These are the important changes to understand if you live in metropolitan Melbourne:
You can travel up to 25 km from your home for shopping, exercise or for outdoor social gatherings.
10 people from a maximum of two households can meet outdoors for a social gathering in a public place like a park. You cannot travel further than 25 km.
There is no time limit on how long you can exercise or socialise outdoors.
Hairdressing will be open and permitted allied health services will be fully open.
More outdoor work can resume. This includes non-essential outdoor home maintenance and repairs, house painters, car washing, mobile pet groomers, outdoor photography and pool cleaners.
Additionally there will also be some changes to restrictions in regional Victoria from 11:59pm on Sunday, 18 October.
These are the important changes to understand if you live in regional Victoria:
You are allowed to have two people (plus dependants) visit your home, once a day. They do not have to be from the same household. The household bubble no longer exists.
You can have up to 20 people at an outdoor religious gathering.
Libraries and toy libraries can also open for up to 20 people.
At hospitality venues, you can have up to 70 people outside (1 person per 2 square metres) and up to 40 people inside (10 people maximum per closed space, 1 person per 4 square metres)
The Victorian Government has also announced that metropolitan Melbourne will move to the full Third Step of the roadmap for reopening by 11:59pm on Sunday, 1 November. This will mean the reopening of restaurants and cafes, retail and personal services.
You are still required to wear a face mask whenever you leave home, covering your nose and mouth. You cannot wear a face covering such as a scarf, bandana or face shield.
If you have any symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19), please get tested immediately and isolate at home until you receive your results. There is support available for people who cannot go to work while they isolate at home. https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/employee-isolation-payment-covid-19.

On the 12th of January the Parish of the Holy Trinity with close co-operation with our Centre held a traditional Christmas Picnic.
We want to
say thank you to the folk music and dance group «Zabava» for performing
traditional Christmas carols and folk songs from different parts of Russia.
We also want to emphasize an active participation of our volunteers who helped to make this day unforgettable for our community.
Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Australia visited our community.
On the 1st of December Dr Alexey V.Pavlovsky, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Commonwealth of Australia and Mr Anton Chirva, First Secretary visited Parish of the Holy Trinity of the Russian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) in Melbourne.
Our respectful guests were warmly received by our community and children from our educational centre “Istoki” played a traditional performance for them. On behalf of the Saint Elizabeth Centre for Social Assistance we would like to say thank you to the Ambassador and the representatives of the Embassy and Consulate General of the Russian Federation for their kind assistance and support.

Natali Pokrovskaya succesfully completed the training in a private educational institution “Orthodox St. Tikhon’s Humanitarian University” at the Department of social and youth work of the Faculty of Social Sciences for additional vocational education program of further education: “Organisation and management of social projects for Non-Profit Organisations”. The Certificate was issued by the Department of Church Charity and Social Service of the Russian Orthodox Church.
The Victoria Police officers provided our community with valuable information about home security and safety for children.
Josephine Mc Carthy, Senior Constable and Monash Crime Prevention Officer from Victoria Police visited our community and conducted information sessions about SCAM, home security and safety for children.
The Centre received the Certificate of Appreciation from the City of Monash
Natali Pokrovskaya, social worker of the Saint Elizabeth Centre for Social Assistance attended a ceremony at Monash City Council. She received the Certificate of Appreciation for the contribution that the Centre makes to the community strengthening. The Certificated was given by Paul Klisaris, the Mayor of Monash.
Fr. Igor Filianovski presented the Certificates of Honour of the Russian Australian Representative Council to our volunteers for their active work for the benefit of the compatriots of the State of Victoria.
We sincerely congratulate Tamila Latysheva, Tatyana Bobokalo, Marina Sokolova, Natali Pokrovskaya, Tatyana Morozova and Lyudmila Lobova.
